A source of pride to us: We are the first hotel in Switzerland to use the hemp-derived active ingredient CBD in our spa. We have chosen a dependable partner in Swiss Cannabis SA, which is part of the Schibano Pharma Group AG and holds the GMP certificate issued by swissmedic.
To guarantee consistent quality and the highest purity, every phase of the manufacturing process is closely monitored, from sowing to harvesting of the raw material through to manufacturing of the end product. Our spa uses Swiss CBD in treatments and massages.
One particular active ingredient has recently come into focus for pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturers worldwide: cannabidiol (CBD), a hemp-derived, non-psychoactive natural product that is legal in Switzerland. Any further questions? Read on.
Curious about CBD? Then let our therapists pamper you with our most appealing spa ritual. This artfully composed treatment stimulates all the senses – touch, smell, sight, hearing and taste – for a full 80 minutes. Choose between a relaxing or activating treatment, and let the sensation of CBD extend from your head to your toes.
Our new SchlossSpa is a place for wellbeing: after an active day outdoors, refocus on your inner being and restore the harmony of mind and body. Comforting heat will relax the muscles, promote easy breathing and open the pores.
From hot and dry to tropically mild, our range of saunas and steam baths give you a spectrum of options. After sweating it out, our multi-sensory showers will bring a tingle to your skin. Then wind down at your leisure in the salt relaxation room.
If you’re an early bird, you’ll love starting your day with a few lengths in our 12.5-metre pool. You can, of course, also recline in our integrated Jacuzzi beds in bubbling water at a pleasant 28-30 degrees. Or choose a comfortable lounger to immerse yourself in your favourite reading material.
Daily 6 am to 10 pm
Let the aromas of the ancient crop and medicinal plant hemp swirl around you in our herbal sauna. A moderate temperature of 60 degrees and 40 to 60 percent humidity create the perfect climate for body and mind to enter new dimensions of relaxation.
Intense, dry heat and aromatic infusions. After an active day outdoors, our Finnish sauna will help you work up a proper sweat at up to 100 degrees. Cool off to stimulate the circulation, reactivate the metabolism and boost the immune system. As you relax, you’ll register a tingling sense of wellbeing throughout your entire body.
Warm vapours envelop you, facilitate your breathing and open the pores. The moist warmth of the steam bath (45 to 48 degrees, 98 percent humidity) cleanses and tones the skin. Its beneficial relaxing properties for body and mind alike have been known since ancient times.
The mild heat of the Mediterranean bath cocoons you like the gentlest of embraces. You could tarry here for longer, let your thoughts take flight and immerse yourself thoroughly in the warmth, as the ancient Romans did. Let your dreams transport you to a land of lemon trees in bloom!
Go for the ultimate shower experience! The WaterParadise multi-sensory showers also have side jets, with pulsed cold/hot water, variable-intensity spray and mood lighting. At the push of a button, switch between a tropical downpour, a summer storm or a cold shower with CBD fragrance. Your choice of shower product is merely a minor matter.
The perfect choice if you prefer a moderate 45 degrees and wish to wear a swimsuit. You will still appreciate the soothing experience. A visit to the textile sauna will stimulate the metabolism, tone the skin and improve your physical and mental wellbeing. It is situated in the pool zone and is open to children accompanied by a parent.
First stimulate, then rest. To get the most out of a sauna, experience alternating heat and cold followed by a recovery phase. The salt room in the SchlossSpa provides just the right balance of warmth, light and minerals to help the body regenerate optimally. Our lounges also offer a serenely calm setting in which to relax, read and enjoy a tea.
The SchlossSpa is also open to those not staying at the hotel. Just book your body or beauty treatments, yoga and fitness classes, personal training and fitness plans at www.spazermatt.ch. Guests who book a treatment for at least CHF 120 can additionally use our SchlossSpa for a supplement of CHF 20 – bath robe, towels, slippers and refreshments inclusive.
I am originally from Slovakia, but since 2017 I've been living in Andalucía, Spain, The Netherlands and since late 2020 I found my new home in Zermatt.
During the year I spend time in all these countries, and I absolutely love the difference and variety that each of them brings. The city life of Amsterdam and Haarlem,
