Corona is a part of our current life. We are all aware of the measures for this and, from a current point of view, they will certainly also accompany us in winter.
The safety as well as the health of our guests, staff and residents is our top priority. For this reason, all regulations regarding Covid-19, which are imposed by the government, are strictly followed.
On this page we would like to keep you informed about the current Covid19 guidelines in the SchlossHotel, Zermatt and Switzerland and will try to answer all your questions below.
IMPORTANT: At the moment, access to our hotel is only possible for all persons (16 years and older) with a Covid 19 certificate (vaccinated - recovered - tested) recognised in Switzerland. Due to the new restrictions it is again obligation to wear a mask.
To protect you, dear guests, and our staff, the whole team has been vaccinated.

In winter 2021/2022, cancellations for the travel period from 27 November 2021 to 24 April 2022 can be made free of charge up to 30 days before arrival (except non-refundable reservations).
In the following situations, the deposit paid will be converted into a voucher which has no expiry date and can be redeemed at the SchlossHotel:
In the event of official closure of the hotel and/or official closure of all mountain railway facilities. Also you will be able to cancel free of charge if travel restriction apply to your country due to the new Omicron variante.
The following points are no reason for a cancellation free of charge:
If you have been diagnosed with Covid-19 or have to go under quarantine due to private contacts.
We strongly recommend that all guests take out travel insurance.

Entry to Switzerland
With Travelcheck you can check whether and under what conditions you are allowed to enter Switzerland. An electronic entry form must be completed by all persons before travelling to Switzerland, irrespective of their vaccination status, country of origin and means of travel.

Since 13 September 2021, the presentation of a valid COVID certificate is compulsory in Switzerland for all persons aged 16 and over who wish to visit restaurants, bars, discotheques, cultural, sports and leisure facilities and indoor events.
If you already have an EU Digital COVID certificate, you do not need to apply for a Swiss Covid certificate.Vaccination certificates of guests from third countries (outside the EU / EFTA / Schengen) who have been vaccinated with an EMA vaccine can apply for a Swiss Covid certificate via the following platform.
Admission only for fully vaccinated, recovered or tested guests. This rule applies to all guests aged 16 and over. Attention: Admission only with proof of identity (ID).
Tests in Zermatt
Testing is compulsory for all non-vaccinated or recovered guests. The following testing facilities are available:

Certificate obligation in the skiing area
No Covid certificate is required to use the infrastructure on the Swiss side of the ski area. On the Italian side, however, a vaccination certificate or a negative test result must be presented, which is valid for 24 hours from the time of issue.
