My name is Claudia. I am 36 years old and originally come from Germany, where I grew up surrounded by forests and lakes.
Lured by the snowy mountain landscape, I landed in Zermatt for the first time in winter 2016 to escape the hustle and bustle of Berlin, my adopted home at the time. What a contrast. I now feel completely at home at almost 1700 meters above sea level.
I first came into contact with yoga while traveling. Apnea diving in Indonesia, with a lot of focus on meditation and breathing techniques, or in India, where I was initially able to learn very traditional yoga in the Shivanda style. In the meantime, yoga practice has accompanied me in a wide variety of ways for more than 10 years. ...and yes, there it is, "ART" the art of moving the body and bringing the mind to rest in exactly the same "breath".
(In Sanskrit, one of the oldest languages in the world, YOGA is translated as "unity". The unification of body and mind.) I prefer to share yoga classes that touch the heart and use conscious breathing techniques that focus attention on the inside. Every day is different and so are we yogis.
For the morning, to recharge and awaken the body, a yoga session full of dynamics and flow is a must. This acts like a "yogic" caffeine kick to start the day.
For later classes throughout the day it's fun to challenge the body, push limits and be brave, so by the evening the body can relax and stretch for more flexibility much more easily.
Our weekend retreat is a chance to get in touch with nature and with yourself. Of dynamism and tranquility entirely in the rhythm of nature.
